A sheath consisting of 3 layers surrounds the gel-like substance in the center of the eye, which resembles a ball in structure. The outermost white part called the sclera, the innermost part called the retina, which allows us to see, and the uvea in the middle. Inflammation of the uvea is called uveitis. The uvea contains the vessels that feed the eye. Inflammation of this area affects all tissues of the eye. This causes serious threats to vision.
